The front page of a newspaper or other publication contains the biggest news stories. It also teases other stories inside the edition. For example, an e-book may list the other titles it has available to entice readers to purchase.
The term back page is sometimes used in a negative way to refer to the content of the section following the front page of a publication. In this case, the back pages contain the less important news or information.
In 2014, three Jane Does whose sex traffickers posted ads on Backpage filed suit against the site, alleging that it violated federal sex trafficking laws by failing to edit or remove ads that sold them for sex. A court ruled that Backpage had not violated the law because it had not changed the ad’s content. Instead, the court ruled that it had performed “traditional publisher functions” in relation to third-party content, and that it was therefore protected by CDA Section 230.
Microsoft FrontPage (full name: Microsoft FrontPage) is a WYSIWYG HTML editor and website administration tool that was included in the Microsoft Office suite from 1997 to 2003. It was designed to hide the complexity of HTML from its users, allowing them to create Web sites without knowing how to write HTML code. FrontPage was also integrated into Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Server and into the Microsoft FrontPage Explorer and FrontPage Editor from version 2000 onwards.
